Radek, what jobs can you get with a Classics Degree? I’m wondering, what can I do with a Classics Degree?
Classics is a liberal arts major and therefore does not point you toward a particular skill set or career. However, it is an academically rigorous major and therefore a respectable one. Employers will know that one who has earned a degree in Classics is a thinker, a communicator, and a hard worker—traits invaluable in all occupations.
Not surprisingly, many who major in Classics go on to law school or medical school. Some go into finance and banking. Some go to work in computer programming. Some go into marketing, sales, or business management. Some become writers (J.K. Rowling majored in Classics), editors, translators, or journalists. Some go into theatre. Some work for museums, historical societies, or libraries. Some work in archaeology. Many become teachers.
Careers you can get with a degree in Classics include:
- Business Manager
- Editor
- Historian
- Journalist
