Radek, what jobs can you get with an Early Childhood Education Degree? I’m wondering, what can I do with an Early Childhood Education Degree?
Students who major in Early Childhood Education usually go on to work with children in an educational setting. Many become pre-school or elementary teachers in both private and public schools. Some go on to become teacher assistants or education technicians. Some become childcare providers, working privately or in a day care business. Some choose to start their own daycare or preschool program.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job prospects for early elementary education graduates look good, as the population of school age children grades 1-5 is growing, and a large percentage of currently employed teachers are nearing retirement.
Be aware that in order to teach in a public school, you will need to be certified by the State. Most bachelor degree programs help students through this process, but some do not.
Careers you can get with a degree in Early Childhood Education include:
- Childcare Provider
